Harvey Weinstein has been charged with a new sexual assault case, Manhattan prosecutor Cyrus R. Vance Jr. announced on Monday.

A grand jury indicted the fallen film producer for a forced sexual act against a woman in 2006 and two sexual assaults. The last two could earn him a minimum of 10 years in prison or even life imprisonment.

Weinstein’s lawyer explains in a statement that his client intends to plead not guilty.

“Mr. Weinstein maintains that all these accusations are false and he hopes that he will be given full reason,” says Ben Brafman, adding: “In addition, accusing Mr. Weinstein of being a predator when the interactions were all consensual is simply not justified.”

At the end of May, Weinstein was charged with rape, criminal sexual intercourse, sexual abuse and abusive sexual behavior for alleged incidents involving two separate women in 2013 and 2004. He pleaded not guilty before being indicted in New York and was released. under caution.

Weinstein denies all charges of non-consensual sex.
